Leg Extensions

Muscles Targeted:

  • This exercise isolates the quads.

Form:

  • Sit in the seat and adjust the backrest so that your back stays upright and flat.

  • Pull yourself down and align your knee over the end of the seat. On most machines there is a bolt or dot you can use for reference.

  • Extend your legs and contract your quads at the top of the movement.

  • Keep a constant pace throughout the entire set.

Rep Ranges:

  • This exercise can be performed in any rep range as well as in supersets, circuits, or as a quad finisher.
