Neutral Grip Pull-ups

Muscles Targeted:

  • Pull-ups are a compound movement that target the back and the biceps.

  • They are arguably one of the most rewarding body weight exercises in the gym and are known for building strong lats and biceps.

  • Neutral Grip Pull-ups, when compared to other variations, put less stress on the shoulders and activate the biceps and forearms more.

Form:

  • When performing this exercise it’s important to emphasize taking each rep through its entire range of motion.

  • Start by hanging from the bar, keep your chest up and pull yourself upward without letting the elbows flare out.

  • Descend slowly to emphasize time under tension.

Rep Ranges:

  • This exercise can be performed in any rep range but make sure to keep your form.

  • Adding weight is a great way to increase difficulty here.
